Uzbekistan national team goalkeeper Abduvohid Ne’matov spoke to journalists ahead of the upcoming match against Uruguay. He shared his thoughts about the team’s mood, preparation, and the opponent.
“As our coach mentioned, we are holding recovery sessions. We are ready for tomorrow’s match and will give our all on the field,” Ne’matov said.
According to him, Uruguay is a team with a solid place in world football, but Uzbekistan is also capable of showing competitive play.
“Uruguay has great experience as a national team. Together with our coaches, we analyzed their playing style in detail. Every team has its strengths and weaknesses. We aim to focus on our own game and play in our usual style,” he noted.
Ne’matov also emphasized that the team has a positive atmosphere and all players are determined to fight for victory.
“There is a good mood in the team right now. Every player is thinking about winning. For us, this match is not only a friendly game but also a valuable experience and opportunity for growth,” the goalkeeper added.
The match between Uzbekistan and Uruguay will take place on October 13 at 17:45 Tashkent time.
This game is expected to be a serious test for the national team — Ne’matov and his teammates intend to represent their country with pride.
