Good News for Guardiola: Manchester City’s Key Players Returning to Action

In the eighth round of the English Premier League, Manchester City will play an important home match against Everton — a team that, while considered mid-table, can surprise any opponent. Pep Guardiola’s men aim for victory to move closer to the top four and strengthen their position in the race for Champions League qualification.

However, ahead of the game, Guardiola has been facing squad issues as several key first-team players have been sidelined due to injuries in recent weeks.

According to Standard.co.uk, the injury situation at Manchester City is finally improving. Some of the players Guardiola has been eagerly waiting for are now close to making their return to the pitch.

Team leader Rodri played a few minutes for the Spanish national team recently and is expected to rejoin the starting lineup soon. There is also positive news regarding Rayan Cherki, Omar Marmoush, Rayan Aït-Nouri, and Abdukodir Khusanov, who are all nearing full recovery.

Rayan Aït-Nouri
The Algerian defender, signed from Wolverhampton in the summer, suffered an injury in August during the match against Tottenham and missed eight games. Reports suggest he is ready to rejoin training with the team after the international break.

Omar Marmoush
The Egyptian forward sustained a knee injury while playing for his national team in September and spent over a month recovering. Now fully fit, Marmoush has returned to training and hopes to feature in the upcoming clash against Everton.

Abdukodir Khusanov
The versatile Uzbek defender is also completing his recovery process and preparing to rejoin the squad. Khusanov missed the recent fixtures and did not take part in Uzbekistan’s friendly matches against Kuwait and Uruguay. Nevertheless, according to Guardiola, he may be available for the match against Everton on October 18.

For Manchester City fans, this is encouraging news — several key players are returning one after another. This will give Guardiola’s side the depth and strength needed to face upcoming challenges in the Premier League.

The Manchester City vs. Everton match is scheduled for October 18, kicking off at 7:00 PM Tashkent time.
