Ronaldo makes history with 949th goal as Al Nassr’s winning streak continues

In the Saudi Arabian Championship, Al Nassr’s winning run shows no signs of stopping. In the fifth round, the Riyadh-based team crushed Al Fateh 5–1. European stars shined brightly in the match: João Félix scored a hat-trick, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Kingsley Coman added one goal each.

Fans’ attention, of course, was drawn to Ronaldo’s historic strike — his 949th career goal, setting yet another record. The Portuguese legend remains the all-time top scorer in official football matches.

According to experts, if Ronaldo maintains his current scoring rate, he could reach the 1,000-goal milestone by October next year. Despite being 40 years old, his fitness and goal-scoring instincts remain exceptional.

With this win, Al Nassr strengthened their lead in the league table. The club now has 15 points from five matches, with an impressive goal difference of 19:2.

Under Jorge Jesus, Al Nassr have now won eight consecutive games across all competitions, scoring 30 goals and conceding only two in that span.

The Portuguese coach commented: “He still moves like a young player. Every goal he scores inspires not only the team but the entire stadium.”

It’s clear that Al Nassr is becoming a dominant force not only in Saudi Arabia but also across Asian football. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see in which match Ronaldo will score his 1,000th goal.
