In the 26th round of the Super League, OKMK hosted Nasaf at their home ground. The match, which was intense and full of struggle, ended in a 1-1 draw. Following the match, the hosts' head coach, Mirjalol Qosimov, participated in a press conference and commented on the team's performance.
According to the coach, both teams fought for victory, but the condition of the field somewhat hindered the demonstration of technical football.
"Both teams played for victory. Both teams strive to show combined, meaningful football. But the situation on the field today was such that it was difficult to control the ball. Still, everyone fought for victory until the end of the game. In this regard, I am grateful to my players," Kasimov said.
He emphasized that Nasaf's high need to accumulate points for the championship did not create additional psychological pressure on OKMK players.
"It doesn't matter how many points the opponent needs, every player must fulfill their assigned task. Psychological breakdown is a part of football. Nevertheless, we need to learn to fight until the last minute in every game. In football, you can't always win, sometimes luck, sometimes the opponent's resistance is decisive," the coach added.
At the same time, Kasimov spoke about the difficulties in adapting to the game of the players who came off the bench of the team.
"The players who came off the bench after the goal couldn't fully adapt to the game. For example, Ahmad didn't see the empty space ahead and passed it back - as a result, the opportunity was missed. In the match in Fergana, those who came off the bench strengthened the game. Therefore, every exchange should benefit the game," he said.
According to Mirjalol Kasimov, AGMK needs to strengthen teamwork to stabilize results at the current stage.
"Football is a team game. It's wrong to blame one player. The main thing is that everyone works towards one goal. We have a team, now we need to strengthen their inner confidence," the coach concluded.
