Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka shared his thoughts on his team's chances this season. The "Gunners", who are among the main contenders for the Premier League title, are currently in first place in the standings, four points ahead of their nearest rival.
"If you are an Arsenal player, people will always talk about where you finish the season or your performance. Sometimes, these analyses seem excessive.
But this season, I feel that we have a strong squad and high-quality players. We went through many injuries, but the players who took to the pitch still managed to perform at a high level.
This is exactly what we need to carry the season through to the end. I think in previous seasons we lost our positions.
But I believe that this season we are ready for it. For example, in matches like the one against Newcastle, where we could not achieve a good result before, this time we won 2-1.
However, I think it's still too early to say "it's our year." In the last three seasons, we fought for the title, but each time we finished second.
Experience has taught me that no matter what happens in the autumn, it's important to be at the top in April. Only then can we compete for first place," Saka told Sky Sports.
Arsenal last won the English championship in 2004.
