Belgium national team midfielder Kevin De Bruyne suffered a serious injury last weekend while taking a penalty against "Inter." The Belgian footballer underwent successful surgery, and "Napoli" club reported this yesterday.
According to The Sun, those close to De Bruyne are concerned that recovery from the injury might take a long time. Therefore, it is possible that the player may not be able to appear for the Belgium national team at the 2026 World Cup.
Earlier, it had been reported that De Bruyne would need approximately four months to fully recover from the injury and might return to the squad at the beginning of spring. Currently, "Napoli" is leading the standings in the Italian championship.
