APL confirmed the schedule for Boxing Day

The English Premier League (EPL) has confirmed the schedule for matches in December and January. On Boxing Day 2025, that is, December 26, only one match will be played.

This will be the lowest number of matches played in the EPL on Boxing Day since World War II. Traditionally, football is customarily played in England on Boxing Day.

Previously, all 10 Premier League matches used to be played on this day. In a broader sense, Boxing Day represents the entire series of matches during the Christmas-New Year period.
