Recently, the “Genoa” club announced that head coach Patrick Vieira has been dismissed. According to the Italian press, the head coach role will be given to former “Zenit” defender Domenico Criscito.
Earlier, the 38-year-old Criscito managed the youth team of “Genoa”. However, he currently does not have a Pro license, so he will work as an assistant together with Roberto Murgita.
Criscito played for “Zenit” for eight seasons, making 224 appearances, scoring 20 goals and providing 29 assists. Currently, after nine rounds of Serie A, “Genoa” is at the bottom of the league table with three points.
