In the 46th minute of the second half, Sunderland’s Granit Xhaka took a shot from long range, the ball deflected off Everton defender James Tarkowski and ended up in the net — 1:1. After that, both teams tried to score, but ultimately the match ended in a draw.
After this draw, Sunderland, with 18 points, shares 3rd place jointly with Liverpool and Bournemouth. Everton, with 12 points, sits in 13th place.
