One of the brightest fighters in the UFC, Arman Sarukyan, did not hide his feelings before the next fight. Speaking about his New Zealand opponent, Dan Hooker, he expressed a direct and categorical opinion.
"I don't like Hooker as a person. He talks a lot, but I don't think he's that strong in practice. At the same time, I have no intention of belittling him - he is one of the strongest fighters in the division. Only I have personal feelings for him, and I express them not with words, but with blows. The fight with Hooker is a sporting challenge for me, and through it, I will show my level," Sarukyan said.
The Armenian also spoke openly about his next plan: "I intend to defeat Den, and then Ilia Topuria. This will be a new stage for me. I want to beat both of them in the octagon and retire them."
Local and international fans consider this fight one of the most exciting UFC fights of the year. Sarukyan is currently in second place in the lightweight division, and Hooker is in sixth place.
The fight will take place on November 22 in Qatar. This clash has become not only a matter of ranking, but also a matter of personal pride and honor.
Fans are eagerly awaiting how Sarukyan's motto, "expressing hatred not with words, but with blows," will manifest itself in practice.
