Tragedy in Spain: 15-year-old footballer passed away

A heavy loss has occurred in Spanish football. Jorge Casado, a 15-year-old who played for Zaragoza’s youth team, has passed away.

According to Spain’s Marca news outlet, the footballer died of natural causes at his home. In light of this tragedy, the club declared mourning and expressed support for the family of the deceased.

“We share the grief of Jorge’s family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Jorge,” read the statement from Zaragoza’s press service.

The club’s players, upon hearing the news, held a minute of silence during their next training session. Jorge Casado was accepted into the Zaragoza academy at the age of 9, and this year he was in his sixth season.
