In the first round of the U-17 World Cup held in Qatar, the Uzbekistan youth national team faced Paraguay and achieved success. Islam Ismailov's players demonstrated high morale, fighting spirit, and their potential on the field.
Although the opponent was active at the beginning of the match, the Uzbek youth team withstood the pressure and opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a precise shot from Azizbek Abdumuminov. Just before the end of the first half, the same player scored for the second time, consolidating his team's dominance.
In the second half, the Paraguayan team tried to reduce the deficit and managed to score a penalty at the end of the match. However, the match ended 2-1 in favor of Uzbekistan.
As a result of this victory, the Uzbekistan national team moved up to second place in the group. The lead is held by the Irish team, which defeated Panama 4-1.
Now, the junior team, led by Islam Ismailov, will play against Ireland on November 8th. This match can determine not only the position in the group, but also the chances of the next stage.
