FIFA President Gianni Infantino responded to a question about whether US President Donald Trump could receive the organization's newly established "Peace Award."
Infantino stated that the exact answer will be known on December 5th. At the same time, speaking about his personal relationship with Trump, he mentioned the US president with great respect.
- I'm not in a hurry to answer all the questions yet, but I can say that I'm a very lucky person. I have a very good relationship with Donald, he is my true friend. He helped us greatly in our work related to the World Cup. "I like his energy, his attitude towards work, and his strong character," Infantino said in an interview with journalists.
According to the FIFA president, what distinguishes Trump from others is that he doesn't hide his opinion and doesn't shy away from harsh words when he needs to speak.

FIFA recently established a new international award called the "Peace Award." This prize is awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to promoting peace, unity, and human values through sports.
According to FIFA sources, Trump's initiatives for the 2026 World Cup and support for the development of football infrastructure led to his inclusion in the list of candidates.
