The VI Islamic Solidarity Games, held from November 7-21 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have reached their peak. Boxing competitions within the framework of the tournament are being held at a high level not only among men, but also among women.
In today's program, three female boxers from Uzbekistan entered the ring. They have begun their journey from the quarter-final stage and are worthily defending the honor of our national team.
Among them, Zilolakhon Yusufova's fight was watched with particular attention. Our compatriot, competing in the -51 kg weight category, faced Saudi Arabian athlete Yara Alamri and defeated his opponent by technical knockout in the second round, advancing to the semi-finals.
This result is considered not only a personal victory, but also an important step in the development of women's boxing in Uzbekistan. Yusufova's superiority in the fight, quick movements, and accurate shots were highly appreciated by the coaches.
Now Zilolakhon is waiting for her opponent in the semi-final. He faces very serious challenges in the upcoming stages of the competition, but today's victory has further strengthened his mood and confidence.
At the same time, another compatriot of ours - Khumorabonu Mamajonova will also enter the ring in the competition program. She will fight against Pakistani Laura Akram. There is great hope of raising the flag of Uzbekistan high with victory in this competition as well.
We remind you that the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh will conclude on November 21. For now, Uzbek female boxers are showing enthusiasm in the competition and, having reached the semi-finals, are writing another victory page for our country's delegation.
Showing the expected results of our boxers, their level of preparedness, and their unique style in fights attracted the attention of the organizers and specialists of the competition.
