Manchester City's Croatian center-back, Yoshko Guardiol, has shared his sincere thoughts on the recent arrival of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. According to him, the new goalkeeper not only adapted quickly but also became one of the team's key figures.
"City has always had high-level goalkeepers - Ederson, Joe Hart, Claudio Bravo... Now Donnarumma has joined their ranks. His arrival is a great achievement for the team. He quickly found his place here, which is very important for the team atmosphere and the spirit of competition.
I remember well, when I first joined the English Premier League, it took a long time to adapt. In this league, the tempo is high, the competition is fierce. Donnarumma adapted very quickly - this testifies to his character and attitude towards work," Guardiol told the club's press service.
According to the defender, the Italian goalkeeper not only strengthened the crossbars but also facilitated the team's performance:
"He is also very calm when working with the ball. He's not afraid to go out through the gate, he's active despite his tall stature. This gives the defenders a sense of confidence. With its participation, the rear became much more stable."
Yoshko Guardiol also spoke about the atmosphere within the team:
