Yesterday, a highly anticipated professional boxing event took place in Samara, Russia. Among the fights in various weight categories, the championship fight of our compatriot Ulugbek Sobirov attracted the most attention.
Today, Ulugbek is known as a boxer who shows high results in his weight category and has repeatedly defeated his opponents early in his recent matches. This time he faced an experienced Moldovan opponent - Edgard Moskvichov.
The fight took place for the WBA ASIA super middleweight (76.2 kg) championship belt and was considered an important challenge not only for Uzbekistan, but also for the boxing community of Central Asia as a whole.

Ultimately, the judges unanimously decided - Ulugbek Sobirov is the winner, and now he is the official holder of the WBA ASIA belt. This result was the next important step in his career in the professional ring.
After the fight, Sobirov said in front of the fans:
"This belt is not for me, but for my Homeland. In every blow, I aimed to raise the flag of Uzbekistan high. Even now, there is only gratitude in my heart - thanks to everyone who believed in me, prayed for me, and contributed to this victory."
Experts assess Sobirov's victory as his new stage in the international arena. Now he is expected to compete for high places in major competitions and the list of prestigious organizations.
