The match between Bukhara and Neftchi, part of the 28th round of the Super League, ended in a 1-1 draw. Following the match, Fergana's head coach, Vitaliy Levchenko, shared his thoughts on the team's performance and field conditions at a press conference.
"It was a very intense match, full of struggle. Both teams spared no effort on the field. However, it must be said that today we had to deal not only with the opponent, but also with the condition of the field. The quality of the lawn wasn't good, the inaccuracies in the ball's movement affected the game. In such conditions, it is practically impossible to show creative or combined football. We are a team that has learned to play in exactly this style.
Despite this, the young men gave their all. The championship is not over yet, so the fight for every point will continue. We are still working towards our goal," said the coach.
Journalists also asked Levchenko about how "Bukhara" caused inconvenience and why "Neftchi" couldn't find the rhythm of the game in the first half.
"The Bukhara team is well-prepared. They often rely on balls in the air and strong struggles, playing in this style. Therefore, one had to be very careful when competing with them. In the first half, we were preoccupied with getting into the game and adapting to the pitch, so our movement was a bit slow. In the second half, we assessed the situation correctly and revitalized the game.
However, it wasn't easy to maintain the lead after one of our players was sent off. Therefore, we were limited to a draw. The main lesson in this game is to maintain discipline and focus at every minute," Levchenko emphasized.
As a reminder, Neftchi currently leads Nasaf by 3 points in the league table based on the results of the 28th round. Qarshi, in turn, will participate in the match against Mash'al.
Levchenko believes that as the championship moves into its final rounds, each match becomes a test not only tactically but also psychologically. "There is no room for error at this stage. We will fight to the end," he said.
