The management of Inter has decided not to extend the contract with their current first-choice goalkeeper, Yann Sommer. This decision is reportedly linked to the goalkeeper's age.
According to the plan, Sommer was set to continue playing in the main lineup during the current season, while the Spanish goalkeeper Josep Martinez was supposed to replace him starting next season. However, an unexpected incident occurred involving Martinez: he was responsible for the death of an 81-year-old man in a traffic accident.
Following this incident, Martinez has required psychological assistance. If his situation worsens, he may have to replace the bench with a prison cell.
Despite these developments, according to fcinter1908.it, Inter remains firm in its decision not to extend Sommer's contract.
