Milan's sporting director, Igli Tare, who previously worked at Lazio for 15 years, revealed that during his tenure, player salaries at the club increased several times over.
He discussed this in a detailed interview with renowned Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. "During my time, Lazio transformed from a club that paid a maximum annual salary of €500,000 to players to one that started offering €4-5 million.
For example, players like Luis Alberto or Ciro Immobile received such salaries," said Tare. Currently, Lazio is in 9th place in the Italian Serie A standings.
The club last won the Italian championship title in the year 2000.
