Barcelona club president Joan Laporta has commented on plans to install a statue in honor of Lionel Messi near the Camp Nou stadium. “The proposal to install the statue has not yet been presented to Messi's family.
However, the statue and the game dedicated to Messi will certainly take place,” said Laporta, as quoted by Barca Universal. It is known that on Saturday, Barcelona will play its first game at the newly renovated Camp Nou.
For now, the stadium will have the capacity to host approximately 45,000 spectators. The full opening of the stadium is planned for next summer, by which time all construction work will be completed.
On November 22 of this year, Barcelona's opponent will be Athletic Club from Bilbao. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
