Rudi Garcia: Objectives Achieved

Belgium national team head coach Rudi Garcia shared his thoughts following the last round of the World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein, a match that ended with a 7–0 victory.

"We are happy; we secured our place in the World Cup and maintained our position in the Nations League A group. Both goals were achieved," said Garcia in an interview with RTBF.

The French coach also recalled the previous match, where points were dropped against Kazakhstan. "If you look closely at the statistics, they are not as good as those from the matches against Kazakhstan or North Macedonia, where we registered draws.

The number of shots on target and overall attempts was lower. We played more efficiently, though.

Sometimes it's important to move away from the result and focus on the quality of the game," he added. Belgium finished the group with 18 points, followed by Wales with 16 points, North Macedonia with 13 points, Kazakhstan with 8 points, and Liechtenstein with 0 points.
