The UFA press service has released the thoughts of national team head coach Fabio Cannavaro regarding the results of the November training camp and international competition. The Italian specialist's thoughts clearly show confidence, enthusiasm, and clear goals for the future within the team.
According to Cannavaro, the main goal is to enter the 2026 World Cup not only with a competitive but also with a well-prepared, self-confident, and aware of the situation in global football. According to him, the victory at the "Al Ain Cup" held in the UAE gave the team a great moral boost. After all, the reliable results recorded against teams like Egypt and Iran, which hold high positions in FIFA rankings, are an important educational experience that cannot be tied to the future.
The head coach assessed these victories not as the end of the journey, but as the beginning of a great journey. In his opinion, a team that develops steadily and systematically requires maximum effort in every training camp, every game, and every training session. Cannavaro described the team's tasks as a "long path to implementation step by step" and called on all players to be dedicated, disciplined, and not stop working on themselves.
According to the coach, the national team is a unified structure where each member acts not only for themselves but also for the entire country. Based on this, Cannavaro called on the people of Uzbekistan to dream big goals together with the team: "We are one team. People of Uzbekistan. Let's take steps together towards our dreams."
