US President Donald Trump commented on the preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. He emphasized that Washington aims to hold this tournament not only at a high level but also in the most successful way in football history.
According to Trump, he gave his administration clear instructions to organize the World Cup at an ideal level in every aspect. The President noted that issues of infrastructure, security, logistics, and convenience for fans have been significantly strengthened.
"I have instructed all agencies to hold the 2026 World Cup at an unprecedented level. I think it will be the best championship in history. And records are already being set in ticket sales," Trump said.
At the same time, the US leader advised fans intending to attend the World Cup to act in advance. He noted that for citizens of many countries, the queue for a US visa can be extended up to 60 days.
"If you plan to come to the championship, get a visa ready now. "The queues are long," he added.
For information, the 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. For the first time in history, the competition will be organized in three countries, with a total of 48 national teams participating.
