
The regular competition day of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, held in Saudi Arabia, has concluded. Yesterday's competitions were memorable for the athletes of our country with another noteworthy success - representatives of the national team won a total of 4 medals: 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze.
Actenge Keunimjayeva made history as the brightest winner of the day. Competing in the women's -50 kg weight category, our athlete skillfully defeated her opponents and worthily won the gold medal. His victory also gave a powerful impetus to the overall team spirit.
Two of our compatriots also won silver medals.
- Shohida Akhmedova (-53 kg, women's wrestling) lost in her weight category only in the final match.
- Lidiya Podsepkina, who competed in the 100-meter hurdles, finished second and added another valuable medal to the country's tally.
Zuhriddin Kadyrov completed the list of successes in fencing. Our athlete, who demonstrated mastery in sabre, won a bronze medal after intense competitions and added another prize to the national team's treasury.
According to official information released by the NOC, the games are continuing, and our athletes will continue to compete for more medals in upcoming matches. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next victories of our athletes from Karakalpakstan, mountainous regions, and the Fergana Valley.
