Uruguay National Team May Be Left Without a Coach


Seventy-year-old Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa may soon leave his position as the head coach of Uruguay's national team. This was reported by the publication Pasesuruguay.

According to journalists, the national team coach held negotiations with the Uruguayan Football Association regarding a new employment contract. However, it is reported that the association lacks confidence in continuing its cooperation with the coach.

As a reminder, Uruguay's national team secured fourth place in the World Cup qualification stage with 28 points, earning a direct spot in the tournament. The prestigious competition will be held in the summer of 2026 in North America.
