Uruguayan national team striker and top scorer Luis Suarez has shared his thoughts on issues related to discipline. The player, who currently plays for MLS club "Inter Miami," expressed his views in an interview published by the Spanish outlet Diario SPORT.
"Many times, I thought I could be an example of perseverance and determination to continue fighting. At the same time, there are many aspects in which I know I cannot be a role model.
I accept, know, and understand this. I have always dealt with criticism.
During my debut at 'Nacional,' I was criticized for missing opportunities. At 'Ajax,' they said I was overweight.
At 'Liverpool,' they criticized my lack of discipline, and at 'Barcelona,' the criticism came due to failures. I have faced the same issues at every stage of my career.
Ultimately, the criticism has made me stronger." Suarez scored 195 goals in 283 matches for "Barcelona" and netted 111 goals in 159 games for "Liverpool." Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
