Carragher says Liverpool needs to sign a defender in January

According to former Liverpool footballer Jamie Carragher, Arne Slot’s team needs reinforcements during the winter transfer window. The Reds spent significant funds on new players during the summer transfer window, but the primary focus was on strengthening the attacking line.

"Liverpool must purchase a new player in January. They need a central defender," said Sky Sports expert Jamie Carragher.

The Merseyside club continues to show interest in securing Marc Guehi. Efforts to acquire the Crystal Palace captain were made in the summer, but the deal did not materialize.
