Guardiola Praises Norway and Haaland

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola praised the achievements of the Norway national team and their striker Erling Haaland in qualifying for the World Cup. In November, Haaland recorded braces against the Estonia and Italy national teams, helping Norway secure their first World Cup qualification since 1998.

"Haaland is showcasing incredible performances this season. He is breaking all the records and continuing his success both in the English Premier League and with the Norway national team.

I am very happy for him and the Norway national team. Most of Norway's players were not even born the last time their country participated in the World Cup.

They had an excellent qualification campaign, scored many goals, and demonstrated very strong performances. Haaland is a world-class player, and he deserves to play in the World Cup.

He is at an ideal age. I am genuinely happy for him," Guardiola said during a press conference.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
