Former Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne is planning a return to Europe, according to journalist Kerry Hau.

After spending three years at Canadian club Toronto FC, the 34-year-old footballer is now a free agent. Reports suggest that Insigne is interested in returning to Italy's Serie A, though he remains open to exploring other league opportunities.

For instance, the German Bundesliga appears to be an attractive option for him. It is noted that financial considerations are not his primary priority.

During his tenure with Toronto FC, Insigne played 76 matches across all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 16 assists. Since this past summer, the player has been searching for a new club.
