The 22nd round of the 2025 Formula 1 season ended in the heart of Las Vegas in a very dramatic and exciting way. Max Verstappen was once again the strongest among the pilots on the track, stirred by the Nevada wind at night. Although he took the start from the second step, he took the rhythm of the race and crossed the finish line first.
At the start of the race, he was forced to hand over leadership to Lando Norris due to a small mistake at the turn. The British McLaren pilot gave a brilliant start, demonstrating his experience as a four-time world champion and leading for a long time. However, Verstappen's speed and his ability to move under pressure forced Norris to finish second.
For the skilled Dutch pilot, this is his 69th career victory. This result pushed him one step further towards the championship, and the intrigue became even more intense.
The current score distribution is as follows:
• Lando Norris - leader in the fight for the world championship,
• 30 points ahead of teammate Oscar Piastry,
• Max Verstappen reduced the gap with Lando to 42 points.
Notably, if Norris doesn't concede more than 12 points to his teammate and 17 points to Verstappen at the next Qatar Grand Prix, he will become the world champion ahead of schedule. This will undoubtedly make the Qatar stage the most anticipated and tough decision-making race of the season.
