
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has criticized FC Barcelona. The head of the Madrid club commented on the controversy referred to as the "Negreira case."
It was revealed that the Catalan club had financial dealings with Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, who once served as the Vice-President of the Technical Committee of Referees. "It is unacceptable that Barcelona paid the Vice-President of the Technical Committee of Referees over 8 million euros over 17 years.
No matter the reasoning, this vice-president carried out important duties. Interestingly, this period coincides with Barcelona's best performances," Pérez stated in an interview with *Marca*.
