Florentino Perez: Barcelona must be held accountable for their actions

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has announced that relations with Barcelona have been completely severed. He called the scandal involving payments made by the Catalans to Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, the former vice-president of the Referees' Committee, the biggest corruption case in football history. This is reported by Goal.com .

Perez emphasized that ties between the two clubs no longer exist. "I do not want to have a relationship with a club that has been paying referees for twenty years. They must answer for their actions," said the Real Madrid chief.

The Madrid club is preparing to submit a 500-page dossier on the case to UEFA. According to Perez, these actions by Barcelona caused Real Madrid to lose between 16 and 18 points this season.

In turn, Barcelona vice-president Rafa Yuste strongly denied these accusations. He called Florentino Perez's words "deplorable and full of lies," assessing them as an attempt by the Madrid club to hide their failures this season.
