
In the 13th round of France's Ligue 1 tournament, Lille faced Paris, securing a thrilling and high-scoring 4–2 victory. The match commenced with Paris opening the scoring in the 11th minute.
Vincent Marchetti struck a long-range shot that hit the post, and Willem Geubbels capitalized on the rebound to convert it into a goal — 0–1. However, shortly before halftime, Romain Perraud's cross was successfully finished by Olivier Giroud to equalize the score — 1–1.
In the second half, in the 77th minute, Olivier Giroud scored from a penalty to put Lille ahead — 2–1. Barely three minutes later, Aissa Mandi scored with a header, extending the lead to 3–1.
In the 84th minute, substitute Loann Doucet, who replaced Marchetti, immediately made an impact by narrowing the scoreline to 3–2. However, in the final moments, Marcus Broholm scored Lille's fourth goal from a penalty, setting the final score at 4–2.
