One of the main stars of the "Real" club, the Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior, is not rushing to sign a new contract with the club. According to The Athletic, negotiations that started before the season are currently at a standstill.
A Demand on Ronaldo’s Level
The player, who currently receives approximately 18 million euros salary per year after taxes, was offered around 20 million for 2025 by "Real," but this offer was rejected by Vinicius. Subsequently, agents requested a salary of around 30 million euros per year (including bonus payments, close to the era of Cristiano Ronaldo), which would be one of the largest contracts in the club's history.
The Main Obstacle — The Coach
According to The Athletic sources, this move by Vinicius is not a simple tactical decision related only to financial demands. Rather, it is related to his unwillingness to sign a long-term contract against the backdrop of existing disagreements with head coach Xabi Alonso.
Although the club is not surprised by the Brazilian footballer's behavior, the situation is seriously worrying them. The current contract of the Brazilian national team winger is valid until 2027; the club has time, but the issue needs to be resolved quickly.
