Roberto De Zerbi, head coach of French club Marseille, participated in a press conference ahead of their Champions League match against English side Newcastle. The match, part of the group stage's fifth round, is scheduled to begin at 11:00 PM Moscow time on November 25.
De Zerbi was unable to provide a definitive answer regarding his team’s chances of advancing to the playoff stage. "I don’t know.
I don’t have the experience of Mourinho, so I can’t say how many points we need. One victory will not be enough.
We need to win not just one but several games. We need to focus on two critical areas – defending well in the penalty boxes and organizing efficient attacks," the coach said in an interview with Onefootball.
"Newcastle is a strong, physically prepared team, and they have a very good coach. It will be a difficult match but not decisive, because we’ve seen last year that everything was decided in the last few rounds," De Zerbi added.
Newcastle currently stands in sixth place in the group with 9 points, while Marseille holds 25th place with 3 points. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
