The coach of the Real Madrid club, Xabi Alonso, responded to the rumors about his potential resignation that have been circulating recently. According to him, such news cannot distract his attention and absolutely does not affect his work.
Vinicius Conflict and Tension
According to publications Indykaila News and The Athletic, it is noted that the coldness in the relationship between the coach and the team's main winger, Vinicius Junior, is fueling this situation. It is reported that the Brazilian footballer showed disrespect towards Alonso, and he categorically does not want to sign a new contract while the coach is in charge of the team.
Alonso's Firm Position
Alonso, however, reacted firmly to these reports:
"I do not feel the need for a public statement of support (backing) from the club management. I communicate with the management every day—that is enough. Rumors of resignation do not affect me. I have focused my attention only on training and matches."
The coach admitted that no one in the team is happy with the situation right now but hinted that they will find a way out of it. For information, Real is currently leading the La Liga championship with 32 points after 13 rounds, despite which, speculations about Alonso's future, including rumors of his possible move to Liverpool in January, are not ceasing.
