Haikin Sets New Champions League Record
Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt's goalkeeper Nikita Haikin has set a new record among Russian goalkeepers in the Champions League. In the fifth round of the group stage, Bodo/Glimt hosted one of Italy's giants, Juventus, but suffered a 2-3 defeat.

In this match, Haikin managed to save 12 shots on target, claiming the top spot among Russian goalkeepers for this statistic. The previous record was shared by four Russian goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev, Sergey Ryzhikov, Vladimir Gabulo, and Ilya Pomazun.

Bodo/Glimt managed to equalize the score with three minutes remaining in regular time, but conceded a decisive goal in added time. After five rounds, the team has collected two points and currently occupies 31st place in the competition standings.
