Kivu Explains Inter’s Defeat to Atletico

Head coach of Inter Milan, Cristian Chivu, shared his thoughts following his team's 1-2 defeat against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League match. The "Colchoneros" secured a home victory in the 93rd minute thanks to a goal by José Giménez.

"Playing attractive football is not enough—we need something more. After the defeat in the derby, the team responded well and started today's match strongly.

"Atletico capitalized on our very first mistake, but I saw the right reaction from my players. The second half also began positively, but the opponent intensified their game—and we were forced to adjust our playing style.

In the final moments, we conceded a corner near our goal, which ultimately led to Atletico's winning goal," Chivu said during the press conference. The "Nerazzurri" suffered their first point loss of the current Champions League season.
