Real Madrid abandons Konate transfer
Real Madrid has announced that the club is not planning to sign Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate, according to The Athletic.

According to the source, the "Royal Club" has indicated it is currently not interested in acquiring the French footballer. The 26-year-old central defender has appeared in 12 matches during the current English Premier League season, receiving two yellow cards.

Konate has been representing Liverpool since the summer of 2021. His existing contract with the club is valid until June 2026.

The player's transfer value is estimated at €55 million.
