It has been reported that Vinícius Júnior may leave Real Madrid in 2026. The future of the Brazilian forward remains uncertain due to his relationship with head coach Xabi Alonso and his current contract, which runs until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
This uncertainty is forcing Real Madrid to consider potential replacements for Vinícius Júnior's departure. According to the publication *Fichajes*, the Madrid club is eyeing Nico Williams as a possible successor for the Brazilian player.
Williams has been evaluated as a player capable of strengthening Real Madrid's attacking lineup. The club could acquire Nico Williams for €90 million, a sum specified in his current contract with Athletic Bilbao.
Additionally, the 23-year-old Williams was actively linked with Barcelona during the past summer, but ultimately, he decided to extend his contract with Athletic Bilbao until the middle of 2035.
