Villarreal Secures Seventh Consecutive Victory

In Round 15 of La Liga, Villarreal secured an important three points by defeating Getafe on their home ground. At the start of the match, Alberto Moleiro launched an attack down the left flank, setting up Giorgi Mikautadze for a chance on goal, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.

Ayoze Pérez missed the opportunity to capitalize on the rebound. Toward the end of the first half, Tajon Buchanan showcased his skill by delivering a precise strike to the far corner of the penalty area, opening the scoring at 1–0.

In the second half, during the 48th minute, Buchanan inadvertently struck an opposing player with the ball while falling, resulting in the referee showing him a red card. In the 64th minute, the home team’s goalkeeper launched a long pass, which rebounded off an opponent and landed with Mikautadze, who lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper to make the score 2–0.

Although Manor Solomon attempted a long-range shot that landed in the net, the goal was disallowed due to an offside ruling. With this victory, Villarreal extended their winning streak to seven matches, trailing the league leader by just two points in the standings.
