Matvey Safonov: I Thoroughly Enjoyed the Game


PSG goalkeeper Matvei Safonov played his first match of the season in the French league's 15th round against Rennes (5-0). He started in the main lineup and kept a clean sheet during the match.

"I finally made my debut for PSG this season. I’m very happy, especially since my first game began with a big victory.

However, the score isn’t the most important thing. The main thing is that I once again enjoyed playing.

I think this is exactly what was missing last season," Safonov wrote on his Telegram channel. PSG's next match will take place on December 10.

Under the leadership of Luis Enrique, the team will face Athletic away in the sixth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The match is scheduled to start at 11:00 PM Moscow time.
