In the 13th round of the Iranian championship, Tehran's renowned club "Esteghlal" hosted "Malavan" on their home field. A tense match ended in a 1-1 draw. Despite the hosts striving for victory, they expressed dissatisfaction with the referee’s decisions. After the match, head coach Ricardo Sá Pinto not only commented on the game but also shared significant updates regarding Jaloliddin Masharipov, who has not been listed in the squad for several months.
According to Sá Pinto, the future of the well-known Uzbek forward Masharipov remains under the club's consideration. “Will he be included in the squad, or will he leave the team? Everything depends on the administrative processes. If all goes as planned, Jaloliddin might return to the team in the near future,” said the Portuguese coach.
He also admitted his frustration with the ongoing unfavorable circumstances: “Honestly, I am very tired. I don’t even have the energy to talk much right now. I just want fairness. Today, once again, I feel like three points were taken from us,” added Sá Pinto.
It is known that at the start of the season, Jaloliddin Masharipov suffered a severe injury, and the club was unable to register him due to the foreign player quota. Nevertheless, "Esteghlal's" coaching staff has been closely monitoring his recovery process.
