Uzbekistan national football team head coach Fabio Cannavaro shared his thoughts on the team's future goals following the conclusion of the World Cup draw. He emphasized that qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in Uzbekistan's football history is a great achievement and will provide invaluable experience for the players.
“This is a bright moment in our history and a significant accomplishment by our players. As the head coach, I must perform my duties with full responsibility. This is a historic period for the team, and every step we take is of great importance,” Cannavaro said.
The head coach also commented on the opponents in the group stage. “In our group, there are two strong teams that are ranked in the FIFA top 20. Therefore, every game is extremely important. Our goal is to prepare as thoroughly as possible for each match,” he added.
Cannavaro further highlighted the high potential of the young players in the team and the positive progress achieved while working with them. “Uzbekistan will be a team in the World Cup that is not afraid to play and will fight until the very end. This is one of the key traits of the Uzbek people,” the head coach stated.
