Gattuso Responds to 'GazMyas' Video

The head coach of the Italian national team, Gennaro Gattuso, was recently a guest on the Fonbet YouTube channel program. During the program, he was shown a clip from the Russian TV series "Nasha Russia" ("Our Russia"), featuring a fictional team named "GazMyas." In the clip, the team's head coach is depicted assaulting players in the locker room. Jokes about the physical resemblance between Gattuso and the "GazMyas" coach character have circulated for a long time. However, Gattuso emphasized that he does not support such methods. He reacted to the video with a smile, saying, "That’s not my style, my friend. But the physical resemblance is indeed very striking," he added. In March, the Italian national team is set to compete in the playoffs for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Gennaro Gattuso's team will face Northern Ireland in the semi-finals.
