Eric Garcia: Captaincy Is Not My Primary Goal

Barcelona defender Eric García shared his thoughts on the team's prospects and the possibility of him becoming the team captain in the future. “We still have much to improve—both individually and as a team.

Our team is very young with tremendous potential for growth. There are many successful years ahead of us.

Being the captain is not my main aim—it’s something that might come naturally. I have always enjoyed helping my teammates,” García said in an interview with Barcelona's press service.

Earlier, Barcelona's head coach Hans-Dieter Flick highlighted the possibility of Eric García becoming the team captain in the future. Additionally, García extended his contract with the club until mid-2031.
