Vitaliy Kafanov Hopeful About Safonov's Performance at PSG

Vitaliy Kafanov, the goalkeeping coach of the Russian national team, shared his thoughts on the performance of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. "This match gives hope that Matvey will get the opportunity to play in the next game and secure his place in the main squad," Kafanov said in an interview with Metaratings.

It should be noted that last Wednesday, Safonov played for PSG in the sixth round of the Champions League group stage against Athletic Bilbao. The match, held in Bilbao, Spain, ended in a goalless draw.

This was Safonov's second consecutive Champions League appearance for PSG. Previously, he guarded the goal in the match against Rennes.
