Ticket prices for FIFA 2026 criticized

Fans have heavily criticized FIFA's ticket pricing policy for the 2026 World Cup. It has been revealed that ticket prices are significantly higher than the initially announced amounts.

Earlier, organizers had announced that ticket prices would start at $21 and could go up to a maximum of $2,242. However, it was reported that, as part of the loyalty program, some tickets are being offered at $7,000.

Football fans, through the Football Supporters Europe (FSE) association, described this situation as "a huge betrayal of the World Cup traditions" and criticized it as disregarding the contribution of fans to the tournament. The organization called on FIFA to halt the sale of tickets at these prices and to revisit the pricing after holding discussions with all involved parties.
