Guardiola: We Need to Play Better to Reach the Final

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts following his team's Champions League victory against Real Madrid. In the sixth round of the group stage, held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Manchester City achieved a 2–1 victory.

Analyzing his team's performance after the match, Guardiola expressed the following: “Do not misunderstand me. Winning at the Bernabéu is an incredibly difficult task, especially in this competition.

However, I must emphasize that we need to perform better to reach the semifinals or the final. We are working in that direction.”

The experienced coach also stated that he is fully satisfied with the efforts of his players but highlighted the need for further development within the team.

He expressed confidence that significant results can be achieved with the current squad. So far, Manchester City has played six games in the Champions League group stage and, with 13 points, currently occupies fourth place in the tournament standings.
