Expert does not consider Atletico a title contender

Football expert Aleksandr Grigoryan shared his opinion on the current season performance of Madrid's Atlético. In the latest round of La Liga, the "Mattress Makers" defeated Valencia with a score of 2-1.

Grigoryan stated that he does not see Atlético as a main contender for the championship. He acknowledged head coach Diego Simeone, noting that the specialist is trying to revamp the team's gameplay, recognizing that the old style might not be sufficient to compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona.

After 17 matches, Atlético has accumulated 34 points and is currently in 4th place in the Spanish league standings. Simeone's team is 9 points behind league leaders Barcelona.
